BLACK FRIDAY 2026
Black Friday 2026 shopping checklist: coupons, returns and shipping

Black Friday falls on November 27, 2026; Cyber Monday follows on November 30. Prepare a short list now so that a countdown clock does not make the decision for you.
This guide was reviewed on October 13, 2026. It does not assume any retailer has announced a special 2026 holiday return extension or a guaranteed holiday delivery cutoff. Check the policy attached to your order.
1. Write down the exact product you want
Record the model number, size, capacity, color, included accessories and condition. For electronics, a similar name can hide a different storage size or generation. For tools, record whether the battery and charger are included. Decide your spending limit before adding a crossed-out comparison price to the equation.
Keep a note of the prices you personally observe, with dates and retailers. That gives you a reference for your decision. Our site provides source-reported offers; it does not claim that every listing has passed a 90-day historical-price test.
2. Make the coupon appear in the order summary
Read whether the offer needs a clipped coupon, code, membership, subscription, specific seller or selected payment method. Put the eligible items in your cart and confirm the actual discount before paying. Target notes that some offers accept only one promotional code, and certain free-item promotions require both items to be added to the cart. Target’s promotion guidance.
If the price requires a subscription, consider the recurring cost and whether you want replenishment. A future gift card or store reward is not the same as money removed from today’s checkout total. Do not count it as an immediate discount in your budget.
3. Compare the complete cost
Include delivery, tax, required accessories and any membership purchased specifically for the offer. Compare identical models and conditions across sellers. Free shipping is not a saving if reaching the threshold makes you buy things you did not want.
4. Read the return rule for the item and seller
Check when the clock starts, the last return date, condition requirements and any applicable fees. Keep gift timing in mind: a gift bought early can have less return time left when it is opened.
Target’s return information distinguishes product categories and Target Plus purchases. Best Buy’s policy also separates Marketplace purchases from member benefits. Those differences are why a single “this store gives you X days” assumption can fail. Target returns; Best Buy returns.
5. Check arrival, not just dispatch
“Ships in two days” and “arrives in two days” are different promises. Use the delivery estimate for your address and keep the order confirmation. Target says estimated dates consider availability and destination, and promotional periods can involve longer preparation. For pickup, wait for the ready notification before traveling. Your final checkout checklist
Tick these as you check an order. This checklist stays on the current page; it is not submitted or saved to an account.
Save the offer conditions and confirmation with your receipt. If a product arrives damaged, incomplete or different from the listing, use the retailer’s support process promptly.
